I don’t know what can be done. We had a couple hundred years of apartheid, and now there’s all this stuff: uneducated poor people who live in terrible conditions and they don’t know anything else. All they know is gang life; robbing and stealing is how they survive. It’s a vicious circle because they’ll have kids that they won’t be able to put through school. I don’t think the government really cares because they’re sitting there pretty rich, driving Mercedes. They couldn’t care less about poverty-stricken people.
