1. Punam Das Murder Case
The Punam Das Murder Case began after Punam was found burnt dead on 10 March 2015 at her matrimonial home. GK Dutta, actively intervened by questioning investigation lapses, meeting senior authorities, facilitating transfer of the case to CID, filing RTIs, and supporting public protests. The victim’s parents later approached the High Court of Tripura and filed an SLP before the Supreme Court of India, with the help of GK Dutta, reflecting continued commitment to securing justice.
2. Protection of Property Rights of Minor Orphan Girls
During July–August 2017 at Dewanpasha, North Tripura, allegations surfaced regarding illegal sale of land belonging to two minor girls using forged documents. Public deputations were submitted before competent authorities seeking cancellation of the unlawful transfer. Parallel legal steps were initiated in a related assault case, ensuring rescue of a minor and elderly guardian, police reporting, and protection measures. After due proceedings, the lawful land rights of the minors were restored.
3. Rescue, Medical Aid & Legal Support to Assault Victim
In May 2018, intervention followed information received from Dharmanagar District Hospital regarding a rape victim abducted and assaulted on 19 May 2018. Despite initial inaction, assistance was provided in filing the FIR, liaising with police authorities, ensuring medical examination, and facilitating legal aid support, reinforcing victim-centered justice and procedural compliance.
4. Anamika Sharma Murder Case
In September 2019, a 16-year-old girl was found hanging near an under-construction house in Pachim Dewanpasa, North Tripura. Allegations of murder led to a mass public deputation before the Superintendent of Police demanding a fair, impartial investigation and accountability of those responsible.
5. Exposure of ₹71 Lakhs Corruption – Sripur Gram Panchayat
A detailed investigation led to the exposure of financial irregularities amounting to ₹71,12,221 during the financial year 2018-2019 to 2021-2022 within the Sripur Gram Panchayat, under Jubarajnagar RD Block, North Tripura. The findings were substantiated through documentary evidence obtained under the Right to Information (RTI) Act, reinforcing transparency, public accountability, and lawful corrective measures.
6. MGNREGA Irregularities – Sripur Gram Panchayat
A complaint before the Hon’ble Lokayukta, Tripura alleged misuse of MGNREGA funds, procedural violations, and abuse of official position in execution of development works. Based on RTI disclosures, certified records, and official admissions, the Lokayukta recorded findings in favour of the complainant and recommended recovery of public funds and departmental action against responsible officials.
7. Exposure of Corruption – Jal Jeevan Mission
Official data claimed 8,338 families under Jubarajnagar RD Block received drinking water connections as of 13 October 2022. However, field verification revealed only approximately 20% had actual connections. Many listed beneficiaries had never received water supply, and private installations were falsely shown as government provisions, indicating systemic misreporting and large-scale financial irregularities.
