As on 03rd March 2018 around 2.30 PM a sudden Fire Incident took place at Huplong Bazar (Under Jubarajnagar RD Block, Dharmanagar, North Tripura), where as many as 110 Shops burned to ashes along with all the goods and furniture’s. Around 2.45 PM I reached the fire incident place and cooperate with the people and fire service personal to control over the situation and also called Police to maintain peace in and around the market place.
As on 04th March 2018 at 7.30AM onward I was at Huplong Bazar to provide needful legal assistance to the fire victim (Such as Application Writing, Preparing the fire victim list so on) to get into the financial assistance from Government.
After meeting and subsequent discussion with the Market Committee of Huplong Cherra Bazar, and as per their application as a need of time to setup a temporary Legal Aid Camp to provide further legal assistance to the fire victim. As per approval of the District Legal Service Authority, North Tripura District, Dharmanagar, I have organized a three days “Legal Aid Camp” at Huplong Bazar with the help of the following Para-Legal Volunteers.
A Legal Aid Camp was organized at Huplong Bazar under Jubarajnagar RD Block on 08th to 10th March, 2018 organised by Gopika Kanta Dutta, PLV’s of DLSA, North Tripura. It was done to provide them needful legal assistance and to get Fire Certificate and burned documents from concerned authority. Around twenty four (24) shopkeepers of the said market approached in the Legal Aid Camp.

PROPOSAL TO DLSA:
Due to the Fire Incident, almost 100 shops are completely burned to ashes. The said market is situated in a rural area and almost all the shopkeepers are lower income people and this is the 3rd fire incident in this market since last few years. Therefore they are unable to re-construct their shop due to financial inability. As required by the time to construct a permanent Market Shed (Rooms) in the said market.
