On 13 February 2026, the town of Dharmanagar witnessed an inspiring step toward community harmony and legal empowerment. An awareness rally was organized under the joint initiative of the District Legal Services Authority, North Tripura and the Sub-Divisional Legal Services Committee, Dharmanagar as part of the nationwide campaign “Mediation for Nation 2.0.”
The programme aimed to spread awareness about mediation, alternative dispute resolution, and equal access to justice. Participants, including District Secretary, DLSA, North Tripura, Member Secretary, SDLSC, Dharmanagar, Legal Aid Defense Counsels and Para Legal Volunteers, joined the rally with banners and placards highlighting the importance of dialogue over conflict. The streets echoed with a simple yet powerful message: disputes can often be solved peacefully without lengthy court battles.
Mediation is increasingly recognized as a fast, cost-effective, and amicable way to resolve conflicts. Instead of adversarial litigation, it encourages mutual understanding and cooperative problem-solving. Through this initiative, the organizers emphasized that mediation not only reduces the burden on courts but also preserves relationships and promotes social harmony.

The rally also educated citizens about free legal aid services available to marginalized and underprivileged communities. Many people remain unaware that legal assistance is their right. By bringing legal awareness directly to the streets, the authorities ensured that justice becomes more accessible and inclusive for all sections of society.

“Mediation for Nation 2.0” reflects a broader vision of building a legally aware and conflict-resilient India. Events like this in Dharmanagar demonstrate how grassroots engagement can strengthen trust in the justice system while empowering citizens with knowledge.

Such initiatives remind us that justice begins with conversation. When communities choose dialogue over dispute, progress follows naturally creating a more peaceful and equitable society for everyone.
