TWO VLCSCs WERE INAUGURATED AT BALICHERRA ADC & SARALA GP

On August 08th, 2025, two Village Legal Care & Support Centres (VLCSC) was formally inaugurated at Balicherra ADC Village under the Kalacherra RD Block and another at Sarala Gram Panchayat under the Kadamtala RD Block, through the initiative and management of the District Legal Services Authority, North Tripura. The event was graced by Advocate Bikash Acharjee and Advocate Piklu Debnath.

The primary objective of this centre is to provide free legal advice and assistance to the residents of Balicherra ADC and Sarala Gram Panchayat and neighboring villages. Many rural citizens are often unaware of legal processes and their rights, resulting in denial of justice. This initiative is a significant step toward bridging that gap and ensuring access to justice for all.

The Village Legal Care & Support Centre will remain open every Sunday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Additionally, Sri. Robert Halam at Balicherra ADC and Sri. Indrajit Das at Sarala Gram Panchayat will serve as the Para Legal Volunteer, playing a key role in assisting local residents with legal support.
