On 9th August 2025, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), North Tripura, organized a Legal Awareness Programme at Madhuban ADC village under the Jubarajnagar RD Block. The event focused on the crucial topic of ‘Snake Bite: Prevention and First Aid’, addressing both medical and legal aspects.
Dr. Rahul Chandra Saha, Medical Officer, Tilthai PHC, highlighted the importance of timely response to snake bites and shared practical knowledge about identifying venomous snakes, applying first aid, and seeking medical help. They also discussed the legal rights of victims and the responsibilities of healthcare providers in such emergencies.
Sri. Robin Bhowmik, Para Legal Volunteer, organised the program under the direction of the DLSA, North Tripura. The session aimed to empower rural residents with life-saving information while reinforcing the DLSA’s commitment to community outreach. A significant number of locals, including women and youth, actively participated, making the event a meaningful step toward awareness and preparedness in snake-prone areas.
