On 14th October 2025, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), North
Tripura, organized a Legal Awareness Programme at Tarakpur Gram Panchayat under
Kadamtala RD Block. The event was part of a broader initiative titled “Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhimaan” aimed at
fostering awareness of India’s constitutional values and instilling a sense of
national pride among the youth.
The programme brought together students, local residents, and community leaders to discuss the significance of the Indian Constitution in daily life. Advocate Juthika Debnath, who served as the resource person, delivered an insightful session on fundamental rights, duties, and the importance of civic responsibility. Her presentation emphasized how the Constitution safeguards individual freedoms while uniting the nation through shared values.
Supporting the event was Para Legal Volunteer Sri Kunal Chandra Ghosh, who played a crucial role in community outreach and coordination. His efforts ensured the participation of a diverse group of attendees and helped in spreading the message of constitutional literacy effectively.
The initiative aligns with the mission of DLSA to make legal knowledge
accessible to all, especially in rural and remote areas. By engaging young
minds, the programme sought to nurture informed and responsible citizens who
take pride in the democratic framework of the country.
